ISO Management System

ISO 14001 — Environmental Management Systems

Independent verification of environmental conformity against ISO 14001.

Who this is for

Start with your business,
not more paperwork.

Manufacturers, processors, logistics operators and infrastructure businesses facing environmental licensing conditions, regulator attention, or customer and investor pressure to demonstrate controlled environmental performance — and needing an independent view of conformity before certification.

What the engagement covers

Independent third-party verification and gap assessment against ISO 14001. We audit your environmental management system as an independent verifier, verify aspect and impact controls and compliance obligations, and produce a gap assessment that guides your route to full certification. The gap assessment does not grant certification or guarantee a result; the accredited certification body conducts the certification audit and issues the certificate.

Edition update: ISO 14001:2026 is now published. The assessment criteria and transition requirements must be agreed for your engagement and confirmed with your certification body. View the current ISO publication ↗

Questions, answered

About ISO 14001.

How is ISO 14001 different from ISO 9001?

ISO 14001 manages environmental aspects and impacts and your compliance obligations; ISO 9001 manages quality processes. They share the Annex SL structure, so a single independent gap assessment can cover both where scope allows.

Do you map compliance obligations to our actual licences?

Yes. The gap assessment verifies your compliance obligations register against your jurisdiction, environmental licences and regulator conditions, not a generic template, and reports the gaps.

Can one gap assessment cover ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001?

Yes. Where scope allows, a single independent verification round assesses quality, environment and safety together, identifying shared conformity gaps and one integrated route to certification.
